AARON BLISS

Originally from the South, Aaron Hart aka Aaron Bliss has been actively promoting, DJing and performing live PA's since his move to the Midwest in 1995. His move to the Midwest came after a brief but intense 2-year induction period to the underground techno sound via the New York City Rave Scene from 93-95, which landed Aaron smack dab in the middle of a dance music epoch that changed his life forever. The constant exposure to the emerging house phenomenon at major clubs/events such as Living Room, Smack, Nasa, and Bliss (which he later jacked for his DJ alter ego) shaped his formative years and started him on his journey to find his own sound. Although his early influences range from hip-hop, industrial, rave, house, and techno, Aaron's sound today explores the deep, jazzy, and funky side of Techno and House. He is currently a member/founder of Particle People Mpls promotions group with his good friend Jesse Jakob (which also performs live together as Jack Complex) and has a residency at Minneapolis' famed First Ave night club hosting the BLACK series of events since 2007.

JESSE JAKOB

Jesse Jakob's career started in the mid-90s in Minneapolis during what many consider to be the heyday of the Midwest rave scene. Throwing events under the guise of Perpetual Groove Productions, and as DJ Insight, Jesse was involved in organizing some of the seminal events (Bass Unifies All, 420 with Hush, Epiphany) that came to define that time period in our city's history. After returning from California in 2005, Jesse paired up with old friend Aaron Bliss and formed Jack Complex, an all gear live P.A. that received rave reviews and had them in high demand by the end of the '07 summer season. Riding that wave of success, the next logical move was to begin doing events geared toward stripped down house and techno, thus giving birth to a new project, Particle People. Together with HOME, the Particle People have turned First Avenue's VIP room as the place to be on Saturday nights in Minneapolis. As a resident at BLACK, one of the premier monthly techno events in the Midwest, Jesse has again found his ground as a DJ. The future is shaping up to be a solid year for Jesse as his production work in the studio and demand as a DJ keep his calendar quite full.
